Unfortunately Grace isn’t the only one who heard the tip. Among those on the hunt for the witness: a hit man whose job it is to eliminate the threat, and Travis Barnett, a security expert (and ex-Navy SEAL) whose job it is to keep that from happening. The three head to the village, along with a few other vacationers, each separately on the hunt for the witness. When they discover he’s taken a hike up a mountain trail, they follow. Grace and Travis quickly meet up (although neither knows the other’s true goal), unaware they’re being pursued by the hit man. Danger, romance, betrayal and more danger follow. It’s a great read.

Although the characters from the two books in the series are related and make cameo appearance in each other’s story, they can be read separately.

This book is a terrific blend of fast-paced suspense and heart-warming romance. The pace never lets up, even after the villain's identity is revealed. Grace is independent, self-confident, and fast thinking. Travis is tough and competent, but never over-bearing. They make a perfect couple. A thoroughly satisfying read!
Good adventure and mystery story. The basis of love is trust. She was too focused on her career at the expense of betraying him. He's a more forgiving person then any man I know.
I am really enjoying this series. This is the second one I've read. I've grown tired of straight romance. Ms. Gallant has mixed a healthy dose of suspense into her romance that keeps me turning the pages.
The story has so many twists and turns in it that I couldn't put it down. The author does a really great job of showing the growing relationship between the two main characters. I give it five stars. SHEILA HUNTINGTON, AUTHOR.
Author's writing style has an easy flow, no reading twice to get meaning. That said, I enjoyed the plot and the characters to a point. If the reader has a problem with the media then Grace will be a turn off. She is relentless and dishonest in her approach to getting a story. Hard to root for a heroine that is a liar no matter the underlying issue driving her. Also, the romance was more expressed in words than any emotion the reader could feel from the interaction of the characters. Ending a bit unbelievable, but otherwise fast paced with the usual happy every after.
I really enjoyed this book. It was fun to see how Grace charmed everyone around her in order to get her story. She is a reporter, and she flew to Alaska to get the story that would make her career. A key witness was hiding away in the wilderness of Alaska. Travis a former Navy Seal who is now a PI working for the FBI has been sent to Alaska to bring the witness back. Grace follows Travis through the woods, until Travis gives in and lets her tag along. Grace is one strong lady, and there was no way she was turning back. She didn't bring a tent, so Travis ended up sharing his one person tent with Grace, and a dog that adopted Grace....

The story didn't end when they managed to fly out of Alaska. The suspense, and action was really good throughout the story. It was also sweet how Grace, and Travis found real love. I loved the plot, it had depth, and was not just a fluff piece. This book was worth the read.
I gave this book five stars not only because I loved the storyline and the writing, but because the book was actually edited. After having read book after book that lacked editing. this one was a refreshing read. I was hooked from the start and found there to be just the right amount of romance thrown in with an intriguing story. that takes one from Alaska to California with a few stops in Seattle, Washington. I will admit there were a few unrealistic situations with a witness to a drug crime, but overall the heroine and hero could have found themselves in most of the circumstances depicted in the narrative. This is the second book in a series, but can stand alone. A few references to characters in the previous book worked and did not take away from this book in the least. However, if you have not read the first book "Every Move She Makes" I highly recommend you do. just for the pleasure of another good story. The romance does contain a little Adult Content which would probably give it an R or PG-13 rating if it were a movie, which I found appreciable after running into book after book that should have been rated X.
BOTTOM LINE A storyline that will hold your interest, just enough romance (PG-13 or R as opposed to many that should be X), and can stand alone even though book two of a series.
